Electronics Technician

Compensation: Full time salary plus benefits. (Non-Exempt Employee).

Education and Experience
  • • High school diploma or equivalency required. Associate of Science degree in Electronics or similar technical degree (preferred)
  • • 3+ years experience in electronics repair (preferred)
   
Required Skills

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • • Ability to read and comprehend Basic Math & English
  • • Prior history of job stability if not a recent college graduate
  • • Experience using electronics lab equipment: multimeters, oscilloscope, etc.
  • • Electronics course work and understanding should include basic AC and DC theory, OpAmp circuits, semiconductor theory, and digital electronics.  Should be able to read schematics, understand common electronic circuits including OpAmp and digital circuitry.  Candidates may be given a pre-employment evaluation on their understanding of the aforementioned.
   
Job Duties

Job duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • • Troubleshoot and repair electronics
  • • Calibrate particle counters and microbial air samplers
  • • Provide customer technical support as needed
  • • Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written
  • • Must maintain a clean and organized work area
  • • Must follow all procedures established for ISO 9001 and ISO 17025
  • • Other duties as assigned
   
Physical Requirements

Successful Candidates must be able to perform the following:

  • • Ability to perform intricate hand manipulations, such as soldering, using a screw driver, and similar actions.
  • • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • • Must be able to push a cart
  • • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time required
  • • Must have ability to distinguish between colors
   
Other

A basic English and Math test will be administered as part of the pre-selection process.  The successful candidate must also pass a physical and a drug test as condition for continued employment.
