Accounts Receivable Clerk


Department:  Accounting

Location:  Redlands, CA. 

Compensation: Full time salary plus benefits. (Non-Exempt Employee).  Starting wage varies by education and experience.

The Accounts Receivable Clerk performs all general accounts receivable functions in our Accounting Department.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required.  Otherwise, must have an Associate's degree in Accounting with 3-5 years experience.

   
Required Skills

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • • Ability to type at least 30 WPM with strong 10-key data entry skills.
  • • Ability to read and comprehend basic English
  • • Ability to use basic math
  • • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, and other MS Office applications
  • • Good understanding of GAAP
  • • Able to work in a fast pace environment
  • • Able to work with minimum direction and supervision
  • • Prefer a working knowledge of AS-400
   
Job Duties

Job duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • • Process and post credit card transactions and wire transfers daily
  • • Maintain customer credit files
  • • Monthly journal entries and account reconciliation
  • • Maintain customer pre-pay list
  • • Email, mail, and send invoices per customer requirements
  • • Weekly collection phone calls on past due accounts
  • • Generate monthly commission statements
  • • Other duties as assigned
   
Physical Requirements

Successful Candidates must be able to perform the following:

  • • Ability to type and work efficiently on a computer
  • • Must be able to lift 15 lbs. from the floor to above your head.
  • • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time required.
   
Other

A basic English and Math test will be administered as part of the pre-selection process.  The successful candidate must also pass a physical and a drug test as condition for continued employment.
